Ellison Street Cafe

After Carter leaves the ferry (unseen) he walks up a very steep Ellison Street, heading into Hebburn, to what is now the corner with Ashwood Croft where he enquires of Swift’s location. Ultimately he gives himself up here, as the lady now tips off Con, Peter and Paice for when he returns to the Wallsend Ferry.

The original cafe is long gone, and the area has been redeveloped with some new build houses on the site behind the cafe. The church in the background is very much a giveaway to the location.
