Carter makes the call to Kinnear to arrange Eric’s demise and with Margaret about to meet her fateful end, he calls Dryderdale Hall to arrange it from a public telephone box.
This location had eluded me for a number of years until it randomly appeared on the Reel Streets Get Carter page all of a sudden. Located on Saunders Avenue in Hamsterley, Bishop Auckland, it’s a great spot from them as I wouldn’t have even known where to start looking. It’s another real timeline location as Carter could have taken this route to Dryderdale Hall from Newcastle.
The Google Street View is from 2009 and shows a replacement modern BT phone box. I’ve been made aware from a few readers that this has now been removed, with just the postbox left to mark the location.
